Hi, I just discovered this forum. I'm actually a ProBoards Admin in another field of interest. I'm located in Erie, PA (as of recent). Currently, I'm cycling a 55g tank for Mbuna species. I've added pool filter sand as substrate and plenty of Travertine (traver - teen) rock, in piles and stacks. Travertine is a limestone (calcium carbonate) like "texas holey rock". This weekend, I'll probably take a trip to 'Something Fishy' in Cleveland. I'm thinking about adding 5-6 Saulosi and 5-6 Rusties.
Is there anybody here who might want to discuss and give tips about my new Mbuna setup? I've kept Cichlids before, but not recently and not seriously. My interest in aquaria has been recently renewed.

No takers, I see.. 'Something Fishy' was awesome! Dave (owner) gave us the full hatchery tour. He has some truly gorgeous fish. The trip ended differently than expected, yet awesome! I was set on stocking with Mbuna only.. but my wife liked a lot of the Haplochromine species that Dave was showing us. I told Dave that I had to have a group of Saulosi (for sure), and I asked him which Hap species would be compatible. Of the options that Dave showed us, my wife liked the Placidochromis Phenochilus "Star Sapphire". Dave had some F1's that were about 1.25". We took 6 of the Sapphires and all of the Ps. Saulosi that he had available. I would have bought 8 of those little guys, but he only had 4 left. They are just barely 1". They've been in my tank for 3 days now, and all are energetic and curious. So far, so good...
